Cameron Tolle
Cameron Tolle is a political strategist with 15+ years of experience building and winning grassroots campaigns for marriage and LGBTQ+ equality. During his career, he has worked on and supported more than 60 campaigns at the local, state, and national level in the U.S. and worldwide.
Since 2018 at Freedom to Marry Global, he has advised and trained activists and LGBTQ leaders in 30+ countries on campaign development, messaging, communications, digital and campaign planning to advance marriage, decriminalization and LGBTQ+ acceptance. Cameron worked closely with the successful campaigns to win the freedom to marry in Taiwan and Costa Rica (the first marriage wins in Asia and Central America respectively), the defeat of an anti-LGBTQ referendum in Hungary, and the launch of 15+ campaigns around the world, including decriminalization campaigns in the Caribbean and marriage campaigns throughout Eastern Europe, Asia, and Latin America. He's led trainings for LGBTQ+ and civil society activists worldwide, coaching teams on strategies to grow public support and sustain campaigns that build momentum over time.
Cameron started his career at Freedom to Marry, where he directed digital programs and helped to lead campaigns that won marriage in 25 states. He also helped lead campaigns that secured the first-ever victories in the U.S. for stand-alone ballot questions on transgender protections in 2018.
Cameron lives in Brooklyn, NY with his husband Alfie and cat, Nina.
